Here’s the statement: I just love ICE!
It changed a lot of things for me in my everyday work and after a year of using it in production I’m thinking completely different about how we can achieve things….what is possible for us.
From my point of view the biggest problem the technology has at the moment is that very few people know what it does and how to use it. But there are some people out there that do brilliant work with ICE and it’s totally worth to check those out.
That’s the reason for me setting up a page where we collect the best stuff done in ICE. Find it here:
I really hope we can keep this page as updated as possible so everybody can come back there and check recent developments. ICE I love you!

Jiiiieha!!! I’m a xsi-user, but haven’t yet found time to use ice….shame on me. Now..i’m reading this… again, i just can’t wait to finish my current project and start playing with ice. and this collection will simplify my start, thx
I totally love ICE, and I know several studios who use it as extensively as mine. For the studios in the know who have gotten used to it, it’s a game changer. Once an artist or TD really gets comfortable in ICE they can accomplish things with ease which would ordinarily be so complex it wouldn’t be worth attempting. I’ve delivered effects and rigs in most modern packages and ICE is by far the fastest and most robust system I’ve used. Too many people think it’s just a nice particle system, but where ICE really shines is in tackling a myriad of other complex production problems. I’m amazed more people haven’t “gotten it” yet, ICE totally rocks.
